Bullets, powder and dies need to be had.

First blush it’d be 75’s and lever lit by a br4

But contemplating 55 btsp and varget and 450’s for a point and shoot for the wife.

Thought long and hard on a 223ai but this will keep it easier without swapping bolt faces and mags on the go to.

Interesting. How are you going to feed it? BDL? AI Mag?
Any aversion to the 22GT? (mostly because I need more folks to break the ice on that chambering 🫢)

RPM is likely to be around 340K with 55's in that twist. 310K is when some jackets start peeling.

Good to know.

Could always back down powder charge and run it as a fast 223.

Or dig into the stash of good bullets. Lol

Aics mags

I've only (1) 22BR so configured and it defaults Lapooey,.003" constriction,75 ELD Smooches,400's and Lever'.

I'll leave the 55's to others, but have never zooked one, even in 22 CHeetah at 4Kfps.................

How much lever till pressure? Idle guess is mid 30.. was cautioned that it’s not as forgiving as the 6mm brother as case fills.

sr-15 hammers bulk pack 55gr sp and hates anything else so I’m way deep on them atm. 25gr of tac and blast away.

Zook meaning jackets pop? Or splat on critters?

I shoot 31.5grs to a Moly Smooch.

I've never zooked a bullet in flight, but never load Blitz' or the like,"hoping" to do so. Have splashed alotta .224" 50/55's on Critters, going back through the years. Such things fuel a 223/223AI penchant, rather than much greater case capacity, due them diminishing returns with said projectiles..............

Aligns with what I’ve seen/heard

A whole pile of kiwi guys swear by the sako 55gr version for meat saver shots on stags.

Gonna 88 it and if it doesn’t work salt it away for a rainy day.
