I would be tempted to try a straight 4x. I'd think that the Ruger action length should give you a little more lee-way in mounting a short tube as compared to a full-length 700.

A scope that is fast/easy to aquire on a 22lr,is fast/easy to aquire on a 50BMG.

I really don't savvy the headstamp making much of a difference, unless the victims is Vermin,or the engagement distances crazy far.

6x will get a guy to 1K,as per Game................

I'm sure to be vilified for this one, but I took pictures of my 375 Taylor setup. That's a 2.5x Leupy compact with a front extension ring to get the correct eye relief.

The cut out is for when I have the William FP aperature sight on - which is most of the time. That laminated stock is a beast. I weighed the whole setup at 9# 5oz - A full pound more than my .338 w/plastic stock and 3x9 VX-IIc.

A proper setup................

Fuck, thats all wrong,

It should be a Savage 270 win. with a Tasco on top, binos should be Bushnell and the knife should be a special order Chiwonese. The skulls were found while you were walking barefoot on the beach while flying a kite with a sweater over your shoulders while wearing your Savage hat. LMAO!!!!!

I forgot to add, Beer is good food.
