Snatched one of the Remmy LH 700 SS short actions and figured I needed a 6.5...

6.5x47 Lapua, Bartlein 2b at 22", MDT LSS, 10x MQ, etc.

140 Bergers at 2760 with IMR 4451.

Should make for a fun high country muley/elk/bear/whatever rig.

That'd be a nice Little Bitch.

Couldn't not stand bumping the fore ring at least (1) more slot forward,to ekk ALL the ring spacing I could.

Didja dab bed the lug,or just Rock On?.................

Currently rocking on unless it starts telling me otherwise. Need to grab a castle nut for the buffer tube and I'm good to go.

What's your usual method for bedding chassisis or lack thereof?

Have you shot much of that 4451 yet? I'm about to run out of my powder of choice for my x47 and can't locate any. Thinking about giving the 4451 a go.

What wouldja do different,if anything?

Recoil thoughts,as configured?.................

Redneck on campfire. He does solid work. 2.80 kisses IIRC not looking at notes, AI mag with binder. Used the PTG solid/one piece reamer.

Can't think of anything to do different, 22" seems to balance the chassis well, but a chop to 18" and a folding stock would be kinda cool.

To be honest I haven't shot it in the chassis yet, was shooting it out of a BDL wood stock that was laying around and that half price deal pushed me over the edge.

Was thick in the prairie dog patch yesterday and the 581, 20MOA rail, 10x MQ was on fire. The old man had his 223ai/6x MQ going. Was one of the funner days I've had in quite some time.

I've been damn impressed with how good the 10x and 6x MQ scopes do as varmint scopes. Guys that haven't tried it think I am lying. That reticle really is a peach and paired with fixed glass, a guy gets used to where things are happening pretty quick.

That reticle is amazingly easy to hold HARD and I've a buncha rifles that were great before and are simply just fucking mind blowing now...due simply the introduction of said glass aboard 'em.

Always happy to give someone the first shot.................(grin)

Throated for the bergers, scenars are kissing at 2.74 which doesn't hurt either. I once heard to throat for the slickest bullet somewhere....
