Kind of put the horse before the cart and I have a nice new PRS rifle built from Shaen in 6mm BRA and hadn't put too much thought into load development. I fell into a deal on 6mm BRA Alpha brass which is why I chose the chambering but hadn't thought about what to start with load-wise.

Was thinking either 400s or 450s and Lever, bullet would be 105BTHP or 105 Berger. Depending on primer start at 30gr and work my way up? Start lower with the 450s?

Can't help with the BRA but in my BR I shoot 30 grains of varget with 105s and 450s, I can't imagine you wouldn't be safe with a slower powder in a bigger case

30gr of lever will be well shy of "hot"

off the cuff i'm guessing you'll hit 33.5gr

report back. i use br4's for no other reason then it works fine enough in the 6br.

i can't sit in the lands and get to 30gr with varget and 108's... granted that was plus side of 90 degrees. straight 6br.

varget has to be the single most disappointing powder i own. it's 223 gas gun fodder and it's even poor for that. stoked i got 16lbs of it... or not

Never liked varget much except for a short period when its all I had for CMP matches, it did decent with the 68 BTHP but that was a long time ago.

I think 30 gr should be good to start but might back off a little with 450s, just need my dies to arrive!

Varget is crunchy but I could never get the accuracy/velocity mix it gives me from any other powder in my 6br
