Watched my mom fill one of those about 1000 times. Boiling water, dump it, fill with coffee, cork and cap.

About once every couple years it came home with broken-glass slushie in it. Dad's was a bit dented.

It's in purty good shape,for being borne in '59.

Their transition to China in '02,stung and they are better hand warmers,than coffee keepers. I tried filling a few with spray insulation betwixt walls,to no joy.

Lost my original Half Gallon Bitch,from about 1000' up on a Shotgun Carriage,crossing Shotgun Creek of all places. Handle musta broke from body,as I KNOW a Molly couldn't break and for all I know,it's still flying through the fucking air!(grin)

Anywhoo...these are both September of '58 and I kinda like THE Kit. Makes for a Skookum Nose Bag,with the S/S sammy holder and both bottles along with it,tucking inside the leather case.
