After the typical tourist season is over does alot of the tourist type places close down for the winter in Paradise and K-town? I'm talking about places that rent cars,motels,reastrants,ect....

most of the hotels and restaurants stay open but the stores down town close down and board up for the winter.

Everything's available in Paradise, for the most part. It's the best time of the year....

Most of downtown is boarded up which is fine cuzz who needs 61 jewelry stores. Otherwise everything is running.

I much prefer town when all the DSMF's leave.

yea its a much better place this time of year I may even fly in the end of the month for a visit.

Ketchikan is two different towns depending on whether it's touron season or not. Like the others, I much prefer it after Oct 1.

Everything of interest is still open -- pawn shop (gun dealer); grocery stores; movie theater; wally-world; Murray-Pacific; bars; hardware stores; gas stations; book stores; and so forth. It's just the touron crap that closes, and no one who lives here goes there anyway.
