Any reason not to retube a 722?

I have a 722 with a bastard twist 6x45 barrel in a Greyboe terrain with MDT mags. While the 90gr Scenars are ok I’d rather fling the 88s.
The bolt has been bushed by Gretan and he also put a screw in to anchor the bolt and I added a Shilen trigger and the previous owner added a M16 extractor so I’m not ready to throw the baby out with the bath water just yet.

Is it worth rebarreling to 223ai? I’m not sure what differences there are with a 722 and 700.

It’s just as worthy as a 700. I wouldn’t sell a 722 to buy a 700, and sounds like that one’s already had some work on it.

They are basically a 700, and yours has the fixes. I'd rebarrel it in a heartbeat.

Tang shape and trigger, are the only real "differences".

Get a mag(AM/MDT),load a dummy how you like and send it to The Kali Kid...go 1-7". My shit should be hitting his lap today or tomorrow.....................
