Chainsaw milling

A buddy has gone off the deep end on milling beetle killed spruce. Thinking he may be onto something, given the amount of free material and the insane cost of commercial lumber. Is 70ccs enough to mill our little 20" spruce with a ripping chain? Looking for something to occupy all my free time.

I'd want more cubes,but a 7-tooth driver will let you play. Which powerhead,do you have in mind?.................

372, but thats just because that's the biggest one I've got.
I'll keep an eye out for the bigger cube saws.

Nothing with similar displacement,will run with a 372...but the chain will make or break you................

Well, I got busy and never milled shit. But I did find a 394 the other day that is probably about perfect for this job.

If that doesn't work out, I can always put a different chain on it and ride it to work!
