Better move quickI'm thinking hard about pulling the trigger on a 20" .260. I've got oodles of Lapua .308 cases that have been retired from f/tr use, but with plenty of life left. What's everyone use for powder in the .260? I'm assuming 147 eld is the way to fly?
I have a fair amount of H4350, and 140 amax. I guess that's a pretty fair place to start.I’ve shot a lot of 139 Scenars through 20” CTRs, either of the 4350’s worked great. The one I have now shoots 123/130/140 ELDs very well with RE23.
Since this thread started with the 6 Creed moving into the CTR stock… I figure I should admit that I just put it back in the original factory Sporter stock earlier this week. I love the CTR wares…. but I hate carrying the rifle with that 10-rd Mag sticking out.
It makes no difference in accuracy, and I don’t have to Re-zero. I’ve shot two “1-shot groups” with it since the swap stock…. results below. Still LOVING the 2-12, it’s rock solid and the dot-of-death reticle grows on me every time I put it on a critter.

Factory ss action with a PVA Rock Creek shouldered prefit matching the lite contour (they used to list that as an option, but sent me a #3 with a 2" shank. I sent it back for them to recontour). 22", threaded.I can dig that rifle, for sure. What are the specs?
Most aics compatible bottom metals are made to fit a CTR inlet. Atlasworks makes one that fits their own inlet one as well as a CTR inlet version. I've had them all. In order of my personal preference,What's the best move to go from issued Tikka DBM (non CTR) to AICS?
See my post above of the spray paint ctr stock with lite bottom metal then think along those lines in reverse. I figure 10 minutes with a buck knife and you'd be golden. The question is how big a deal is it to inlet a standard T3 stock to CTR? Can I make it work with a file and dremel or do I need to trip the stock and replace it with one already properly inletted?
yup, I see that now. Thanks. Looks like a 1 beer jobSee my post above of the spray paint ctr stock with lite bottom metal then think along those lines in reverse. I figure 10 minutes with a buck knife and you'd be golden.
