What's the view on detachable rings folks ?

Thinking Leupy QRWs and also Warne detachables on a variety from rimfires up to 308 Win.

Have a few options here around swapping scopes around, wondering to what extent it might be worthwhile going down the detachable route.

Thanks in advance.

I only use 1913 rails and have torx/Allen keys galore. I've never even considered the flip levers, as turning a screw is plenty quick for me. Maybe I have too many tools laying around, but I've just never understood the appeal.

To play Swapaloo, one simply needs a knowed series of dimensions and 1913 is IT...as nothing else comes close.

Now as far as Quickaloo, the LAST fucking thing I wan't to be hasty,is my mounting system..................

On business AR's I used the LaRue for ACOG, EOTech and Aimpoints. Never had one fail at the wrong time, so it's never mattered.

We would strip down our M24's completely, reassemble with torc wrenches and re-shoot zero. It's pretty amazing how well they do when all the components fit right.

I've faith in alotta 1913 wares repeating and side with you,in that it often don't make ANY fucking sense, how absolute things return...when torqued with a chainsaw bar wrench....................(grin)

Ok all good and thanks for the drum fellows.

Have a couple of QRW sets here I got for a song. Might keep them for spares in time of dire need, otherwise I can always use a paperweight.
