Got my Match 22 Creedmoor seater and its denting my 88 elds. Kind of pisses me off that they sell a 22 Creedmoor seater not setup for vld/eld. Whatever. So want to try and lap it out with drill and lapping compound. Any tips or just hit it till it stops marring up bullets? Kind of wondering how precise I can be doing this but waiting on RCBS may be a while.

Did not see an RCBS 22 vld/eld stem for sale anywhere, but if anyone knows of a place I am all ears. Thanks

I would partially fill the cavity on the stem with a dab of bedding compound and form it to the bullet.
It’ll make full contact without denting the jacket. I had to do this to keep a seater from denting some Bergers.

I've got soooooooooooo many fucking Seaters/stems that I lose track. Actually used a Hornie Seater in 224 Speedmire for A-Tips and it doesn't do too horrible.

Have reconfigured many too.

When I get home,I can toss part numbers....................
