A whole nuther country
I’m kinda thinking I’ll set up one AR for factory ammo for knocking around
Could be used for anything from plinking to 600 yard wolfs
Prefer heavier bullets if there is a viable factory option
What would you recommend

My first look for heavies would be Black Hills 75 or 77 grain stuff.

The most accurate factory 223 ammo that I've shot is the Fiocchi 50 gr vmax. I've shot it mostly in the 1 in 12" barrels(3) but it also shoots in my 7" twist AR, two different 8" twist 223's, and two different 8" twisted 223AIs. Good stuff. Well.. accurate, anyway.

I'd buy a box of 75 Hornie BTHP's locally, then let the results speak.

You might hit 2675fps with 'em.....................

Can’t go that slow ........... grin
Thanks for the heads up
Guess I’ll have to get on the Dillon and load some up
How much 335 will a AR tolerate with commercial brass and moly 75’s?.........

In an ASC mag and my recent Lots of '335 in R/P with 400's,I'd be looking at 24.5grs or so at The Finish line. This in all OEM chambers/bores(nothing tight grooved/short throated or narrow necked).

Back up and work towards it,like everything else. I like added buffer mass, just to slow reciprocation RPM's and got myself convinced, that it also helps ES/SD and Precision.................

Hard to beat rolling your own but for cheap factory ammo the Hornady Black 75bthp and Hornady Match ELD have been stupid good in everything from White Oak Brownells Specials to Compass Lake Bart’s.

You ever clock 'em?

Wind is finally laying down a smidge now and it's been purty tough. At least it's still raining,to keep the dust down!..................(grin)

The monkey in the orange box wasn’t cooperating too well last trip but I’m thinking I saw 2700 in the compass lake Bart 20”.
Ive been doing more building and fiddle fucking than clocking lately trying to get all my shit straight.

I'd wager a Bart' has a snugger/more uniform interior,than a Peezer or similar...which equates to "free" speed.

I like that bullet at 2800fps+ in a 20" Krunchenticker,ala Lever'.

And 18's.................(grin)

For factory ammo that won't break the bank like BH MK 262 does, I've had good performance from IMI Razorcore 77 gr SMK & Magtech 77 gr SMK's as well.

SGAmmo usually has both in stock & the brass in both cases is good for reloading as well if'n you can deal with crimped primers.

I concur. 12.5” noveske barrel and bolt gun stay sighted in with that stuff for when I’ve been too lazy to load.
