Had the opportunity recently to put together a rifle for a fella that was a JTF2 sniper (Canadian tier 1 special forces) and runs the Canadian branch of one of the top long range shooting training companies in the world. The build specs are as follows

Proof research 20" carbon in 6.5 creed
APA bastard brake
Mdt hnt-26 folding chassis.
Weight 6 pounds 9 ounces

Forend seems surprisingly rigid. I don't think it would be a good option for Big Stick but probably ok for your average guy. As for optics I believe it's running a nightforce nx8 2-20 (or whatever that mid range power option is)
