Got a Montana 300 Win Mag in trade for a song and having one already and a 300 Weatherby...I’m thinking of rebarreling it...

Ideas for a magnum build in a 3.400” box of the Montana? I’ve got the 7 SAUMs and 300 WSM covered too.

Hear ya Stick. Thought there may be something I was missing with a shorter case that would work with that longitude. Ran it by the Kali Kid and think I locked up his server...

Stick’s 257 Bee comment got me thinking of the 131 ACEs and the new .650 135gr Bergers in a fast twist .257 tube. Can’t see Hornady not coming out with something to compete....

There was a pretty good initial push on the 257 Blackbird (25/7mm Blaser) which runs a 3.300 COAL with the above, but looks like it’s become vapor ware just as quickly. Norma brass is the only brass play there that I know of and it’s running velocities right with the Bee w/o the Bee brass.

257 Blackjack wouldn’t suck but I’m covered up in SAUMs, PRCs, etc.

I like the 257 idea but I love 25’s. Pretty hypocritical of me though since the only 25 we have right now is my wife’s 250AI.
