Having gotten my new truck last year the wife was looking forward to replacing her car (05 Saturn Ion....absolute piece of shit). Ended up getting her a Taurus. Pretty nice and fun car.

Very quick. Those twin turbo's do a good job. 0-60 is 5.2, not bad for a 4400 pound sedan. AWD will be nice for her to have in the winter too

Wife drives an AWD Fusion. Since purchasing it she's yet to once want or need to take my truck anywhere.

If your wife lets you drive the Taurus, find an unpopulated corner and mash the gas just prior to apex, can't believe how that AWD system just sucks you around corners.

She's nice enough to let me use it on occassion. Until we got it, I didn't like all the damn roundabouts they have in town. Now they're a hell of a lot of fun to deal with. She knew she had to get a Ford and I insisted on AWD for her especially with the kid on the way. So that meant Fusion or Taurus, and she liked the looks of the Taurus better. I apparently did a good job of leading her to the SHO, and we're both happy with it.

My old man still gives me shit for having something with less than 8 cylinders, but the 3.5 ecoboost is damn nice.
