Dat exhibits USO's typical lack of eye-relief,as do all pictures of same.
That does'nt weigh the weight, height, width and relative hugeness...................
Ok Larry...lack of eye relief? In those pictures? Is lack of eye relief a typical feature of USOs? I wouldn't know as I only own one. I haven't noticed it a problem. Maybe it is, I'm just too dumb to know.
I certainly didn't/don't want to get into a pissing contest about what is good for me versus someone else. I can only go on first hand experience and what that has given. I weigh the known quantities of all the information and experience that I have and pick what will be the best for my application, not someone else. I concede that my criteria may have flaws, and will not meet someone elses criteria as the cats meow. And I don't have a problem with that.
As an example, I never had a problem with eye relief with any of my scopes, that being USO, Leupold and Swarovski. I also concede that my eyes are what they are and I have to deal with those facts. Uncle Jim didn't have the same eye relief looking thought my Swarovski that I had. Is that my fault? Yes it is, because the scope was mine and at my focal length/and or eye piece lense focus. Resulting in him getting a kiss on the forhead when he shot that bear with my gun/scope combo. You had an impossible time focusing the scope at the other bear, resulting in a missed opportunity. Maybe due to the scope focus being twisted after head impact, maybe not. I don't know. However, that particular scope never jumped up and bit me like it did him. Did that make it a bad scope? For him on that day, maybe, for you? Only you can answer that. I sold that scope for other reasons, none had to do with eye relief. I didn't have a problem with that, nor on the USO.
As for weighing the weight, height, width and relative hugeness...I did that as well. Same thing I did when I got my Ford F350 CC Long bed 4x4 diesel. And I'll bet it weights more, is higher, wider, and absolutley huger then your Toyota. Does it make it better? My truck meets my criteria, I suspect it doesn't meet yours.
