My local shop had a bit more than 50,000 CCI #41's today. The #41's are a Mil Spec (hard cup) small primer that a lot of the AR guys use. The also work great in a bolt gun provided it has adequate pin fall and at least 20 lbs. of spring.

Pretty fair number of powders in stock, as well.

Good shootin'. -Al

Primers are hard to come by around here. Only one shop has any at all and he limits you to 100 per trip. He said if he didn't they'd be gone in a day and he can't replace them.

CCI #500 small pistol primers were on the shelves here today. Limit was 1,000 per customer, per day. I snagged some and counted a bit more than 30,000 remaining. Price was $41.99/1000.

I haven’t seen any rifle primers on the shelves around here for a while now. Did manage to grab 8lbs of R16, and a couple lbs of Varget and H4350 this past week though.

I reckon I'll not regret having stocked up,during the entire last Administration..........................
I just told a buddy the same thing about rimfire ammo...

He waited until last week to decide he needed to get into guns...

Well, I have around 12,000 small rifle primers, but the population of Sitka is around 8000. Come the zombie apocalypse, I'm not sure I've got the skills to "one shot, one kill" all of them. I need more!

That be da goal of da libs.........................A bill for BR4's is MORE than double the old, normal price.

Wait 'til Ol ' Joe starts jacking the taxes on guns, ammo & components.

No need to take 'em, ya just won't be able to use them.

Sporty's in Anchorage had a bunch of primers in stock today, limiting purchases to 1k per person, per day. Word got out quickly! There were a bunch of folks buying them up, and they were going fast!

They had:
FED 210 and 215M ($29.99 and $37.99)
CCI 200, 300, 550, and BR2 ($23.99 for regulars, and $42.99 for the Benchrest)
WIN LP and LR (don't remember the prices)

They also had a good amount of .223/5.56, 9mm, .40 S&W, .45ACP ammo, and 22LR ammo.

Got an email from Bruno’s today, $50 + per pound of powder. They did have a bit.
Yeah, they should have some.................their website's been down for several days. Says they're trying to catch up on backlog.

I use a search robot & there's been powder popping up here & there, but you have to be quick. Primers are the big issue with some limiting your buy to 1000..............with a stiff up front plus the hazmat, unless you can get something to go with it, that's putting primers at around 12-13 cents.

Glad I'm OK for a while, others not so much. Not much worried about what I got, it just replacing it as it get used. I don't like being in an inventory reduction mode, much prefer at least a net zero loss over a 6 month period or so.

That ain't exactly where we are today though for the most part.

Ammo and powder here hasn't changed, other than limits, which nobody is gonna complain about anyhow.

Powder is $37.99 a pound and has been for a goodly while. 17gr V-Max Hummer ammo is $16.99 a box, both as per the cash register yesterday................

Locally, powder comes & goes, big variance on price. Haven't seen primers in a while, just scored 4K boolits this weel at a decent price though.

Couple years back, a BR shooting pard closed up his hobby & I got a lot of good shit for half off current prices, plus normal laying in of routine stuff since.

Things are a tad more serious this time around than in the past for a decent stabilization level though. Ride will likely get rougher before it get's much better too.

He started shooting competitively & learned how fast you can go through shit, real quick like. Also helps with more volume buys. (grin)

I'd have to be in a really bad way to dig that deep................nah, I'm good for awhile.

PV had 'em off & on this past week for $100 plus the hazmat & shipping. But limit of 1 brick. With nothing else in stock to buy.
