Everything S&L is wonderful. I've owned 8 over the years. Still have the first model in 7x61 S&H.

Single shot target rifle. Cock on close. nice 2-stage trigger.

How are they?
Chambering? Twist Rate?

I've seen bullets matter.(grin)

Was slingin' 162 ELD's in a 7-08 SALAMI at the 1225yd line today, with 6x MQ and shaking my head...as I was watching it happen through the glass.

AICS binderless DBM fed,if only in fairness.................

Had 52's on the brain, with the reverse Winny nomenclature.(grin)

I'd not be afeared of a S&L 70 22LR,for a fair to middlin' price,if only as a lark..

Purty easy to snare a killer Annie 54 chambered same, for modest-ish loot and really ring the fucking bell................

Yeah, it's a 22lr. 27' tube. Seems well built.

I'm gonna test drive it. If it shows promise I can own it for $250. It will need to be chopped, drilled, & tapped if it ends up being mine. So, we'll see how it goes.

I just wanted to know if they were well thought of or if they were a POS knockoff of something. Id bever seen or heard of one until I laid hands on it.

Thanks

The S&L got a fresh crown, some scope mounts, and a 10x.

The 22lr ammo that I had laying around was nothing to get excited about. Auto match sucked and 38 grain AE was OK. It liked 40 grain Federal 710s best. It shot them well enough for me to make hits on fist sized rocks at around 200 yards. Nearly 7 mils up from a 50 yard zero. What a hoot!

I can honestly say that I don't shoot enough 22lr and certainly not much at extended ranges. I can see this getting expensive over the next year...

One can make perfect sense, with eloquent wording and beautiful pics...but it don't begin to break the surface on breaking a good trigger,on a GOOD Rimfire.

Lotsa High Zoot Rimfires in this AO,for some reason.................(grin)

The rifle is decent. I really like the stock design and the trigger breaks at 1.8 lbs or so, which works for my use for now. But, I can already see that I will want a repeater in the near future.
