I know Al is a champion of Sightron, but they really don't do a bunch of stuff, that is my jam. That being said, somewhere around here, there should be a box with a 30mm FFP Mil 6-24x 50mm 'Tron #25007 in it.

Anybody fiddlefuck one?

Am I gonna haveta' set it on a stump and shoot it,or will it hold zero and track?.......................

I agree that their offerings dont have a ton of appeal overall, but they are good scopes.

Have had a few "Big Sky" SII's that were fantastic in all aspects. Currently have one left in 3.5-10x that is by far my favorite scope that doesn't get dialed.

I also have an SIII in 3.5-10 that has tracked perfectly and the glass is very good.

The Golden Age of rifle optics is coming. It'd be great to have more choices. Variables that don't suck would be a huge step in the right direction.

What's a guy got to do to rein weight and bulk back under control? The 6xFF with windage removed/capped is a step in the right direction but it's still about 2x as heavy as my older gen leupold 6x herd.

The6x MQ does what nothing else can:

10yd parallax

7mm exit pupil

And 2+ Mil's of erector travel, per ounce of mass

With an etched reticle of like language and 10 Mil's of opportunity

If only for starters.........................(grin)

the new razor 4.5-22 lht is a step by at least one manufacture to get something closer to what we've been asking for years

misses enough that i won't run it.. and it's hard to get any reviews by anyone who is anything but shill.

Both a S-TAC 3-16 and another 5-20 are enroute. There's a 6XHBR, and 3-9X36A.O., a 6-24X42, a S-TAC 5-20, a SII 36X42 and a SIII 36X45 ED here waiting for more company to come. ;)

'Stick, my pals that run those 6-24, 8-32 and 10-50 SIII's in 600-1000 yd. competition as well as long range ground hog and rock chuck hunting love 'em. Be interested to hear your thoughts.

Merry Christmas back to you, buddy. (y) -Al

Scope is fairly simplistic, which ain't a knock and eye-relief rather exceptional.

I'm a Sunshade Slut, due the simplistic Fact, that it helps protect objective glass from moisture.

Turrets lock with a single center affixed Torx head. I prefer a splined turret, but that's not really a knock. The reticle is simplistic, but only tosses (5) Mil's in equidistant directions. Conjoined with the modest-ish erector travel (29 Mil's) and 40yd parallax,it'll likely be overlooked for Rimfire Pursuits. The ONLY way to Test a scope,is to shoot same,as doodads and fixtures obviously don't recoil. Due the weather and amount of snow,Rimfire Testing is gonna be easier to arrange. The turrets and side mounted parallax function smoothly,as does the zoom ring. The diopter doesn't have the latitude of adjustment corrections of most scopes, but it worked for me. I know it'd be a No Go for others, due that facet alone.

There's nothing evident to get horned up about, but the Feature Set plays nicely together. That ain't a knock either. Am thinking that The BIG Vudoo likely will discern the most,in the least number of rounds. The 5-20x SWFA aboard it,is a tough act to follow and has an envious Track Record.

FFP Reticle on 24x and 6x.

The reticle is easy to hold hard.....................

No internal debris. Shipping beat THE fuck outta it and it's an external shard of cardboard,on the ocular's external surface..................

It's 6-24x,so I cain't speak to 3x,but 16x is a nice view.

Like most thangs, mounting it made it "better". Did I mention the forgiving eye-relief? Hint.(grin)

Thinking it'd meld a Heavy 223/223AI rather nicely...................

Sooooooo many good optics right now!

Before long, we'll be seeing posts from people wishing they would have bought this or that.... when they were only this much or that much. ;)

Good shootin'. -Al

Just seems best suited to a Heavy 223/223AI,so that's what it'll be. Haven't even shot it yet, which is a first...............(grin)

Can't speak to it,but S-Tac means Phillipines,should that matter.

I'd get a reticle that actually DOES sumptin' and Mil/Mil is as easy as things get................
