For beating the fuck out of things, issued BDL metal is to be avoided...thus the HS and Badger inlets.

ADL remains my favorite and easily.............

HS DBM's feed ala the center,so shit sickles betwixt the rails, less impediment.

Badger M4 bottoms are simply a muchly robustified improvement upon the BDL issued metal and feed ala the rails, from side to side. One could club baby Seals with a Badger bottom,to great affect. They are grossly overengineered and that is their appeal.

So both HS and Badger needn't a rail tweak,to feed cartridges of the receiver's initial design.

To bump a .473" 308 based receiver to SAUM or WSM ala HS DBM,you need to open the rails,so the squatty-bodies will enter the raceway via centerfeed magazine.

That of course in conjunction with opening up the boltface,to .532" as well.

I can like HS a bunch,as they are robust, positive, foolproof, made of S/S,ride flush on the underside and are of positive retention, while allowing hasty ammo swaps.

Am anxious to drive a few Seekins DBM's,as they are a series of improvements upon a like concept and everything he's shared with me in their regard, makes perfect fucking sense from a utilitarian standpoint.

Such things interest me...............

Badger M5's are a DBM along a similar M4 inlet footprint, utilizing AICS mags.

I hate the mag release and the gross mag protrusion both...........

If contemplating a fast twisted 223 or 223AI and upper echelon BC projectiles,Glen Seekin's baby appeals the most to me.

He assures a 2.500" COAL,proprietary mags and I dig that the bottom is alloy(for fending my salt weather). Pics he sent me,are Skookum +P.

Prices indicated, were rather favorable, weighing the total package........................

Washington......the state.
Glen's rings are like no other I've held and used. I'd be proud to have any of his offerings on my rifles and ask him weekly to send me the 223 DM's to test :)

I'll be first on the phone when he announces they are available.

Got a Rem 600 bolt in .473" that ain't cracked lengthwise in a few places?!!?

I could use one of them,to curtail an early Retirement..................

That pistol has FUCKED me so many times. Should have traded the Whelen I had to Mike for it and then traded it to you for the Python. Now it will score a McMillan and I'm still fucked all the way around.............grin

Shead, check out matt williams bdl metal, unless you're wanting dm. The price is good, and its a drop in for factory inlet. He was on the old forum and not sure if he figued out that it came here. I know it took me a while. Blake should set up one of those redirect things.

If wishing to retain the BDL footprint upon something,Matt's stuff is a great way to go.

Glen's DBM is to follow suit,by wearing the issued BDL footprint inlet...............

Finally made it.....after a few log-ins that weren't cutting it, I figured out that a new issue log-in was in order.

All's well now.

XP bolt for sale on Gunbroker, but will likely cost you 2 bills.

Numerich's finds them occasionally and sells for cheaper, but you have to keep checking with them.
