I don’t see much about them anymore. I’m needing something for the girls( 4 and 6) with more field of view. I have a tikka rimfire with a fixed 10 that has been perfect for me but they struggle finding the milk jugs and balloons with it. I have a spare 6x in the drawer that would be better but I’m wondering if the 1-4 would be better. This is by no means along range situation so ffp or sfp doesn’t mean much. The goal is finding milk jugs at 25 to 65 yards and adjusting the rifle so the center of the scope is on the center of the jug. Thanks in advance.

I have a couple and they've held up fine and work as expected. Permanently set on 4x. I'd expect your 6x to work about as well, since it has a wide FOV - but admittedly can't be rolled back to a very low power to make it massive like the 1-4x can. Weight is about a wash. There was a $300 used 1-4x on 24HRCF classifieds yesterday.

I love them for the weight.

One weird quirk on mine is that the diopter like to be set for a specific zoom range- set it on 1x and it won't be happy on 4x.

I actually like the reticle better than the 1-6 as the donut is just weird from the 2-5x range.

You should be happy with it.

I sent the man on the campfire a message about the mentioned above. I appreciate the information.

That’s good to hear. The one from the fire is heading this way tomorrow. Maybe they’ll have them on Black Friday and I can get them a couple to go on the 223 Montana’s too.

It came in today. Swapped the scopes out while the charcoal was heating up. I’ll zero it and let the girls have at it. I can see a few more headed this way.
