Switch up caliber?

I've got a 300win at the smith and am in a pickle on which flavor to make it. It's got a hair over SAAMI length in the box at 3.4'ish inches. Was thinking another 7 SAUM, but could eek out more in a WSM....unfortunately WSM brass seems unobtanium. Is there another fun caliber I should think about?

Edit- looks like they moved the shoulder back too. Necking up 6.5 would probably be easier, but the Lapua 6.5 PRC brass is harder to find right now.

It's an old Colt Light that Melvin Forbes is going to rework for me. He's made me a couple others and they each shoot well and are handy on the snowmachine or in the mountains.

Pretty big fan of the 7saum and wsm if looking at a mag bolt faced donor. I think I would stick with the original plan.

I got it cheap, so can unload and make some coin likely. Chances are I'll hold it for the boys when they're a little older, but they seem to fancy the Fieldcraft. What's this Vudoo all about? Rimfire fun?
