Thinking about upgrading my wife's 2011 Honda Pilot, with something similar, and pickins are pretty slim. A quick pass through several of the local dealerships, and no one seems to have much inventory sitting on their lots. I can't prove it, but I'm guessing the sales folks will be pretty stubborn with their pricing? At any rate, this certainly does not look to be a good time to be shopping for a new vehicle. Probably should wait until the extra Covid funds dry up, and the car salesman start getting hungry again.

Been going on cars.com and doing a few searches for next vehicle. The 4runner models we like are in the low 40s right now. Probably do another one of those. May be a different story in Alaska.

Just bought a CRV for the wife. We got it at about $500 over dealer cost but that was it. They were not budging any more but it was also $2400 off sticker.

My wife went from a 2010 Pilot to a 2012 4-Runner. Toyota is much better of course, but doing the oil change is annoying. Nice to get away from the Pilots stamped tinfoil running gear. But the Pilot did dang good in snow and ice. Noisy as heck to ride in though, even with very mild tires.

I think the 7 passenger options are 4-Runner, Pilot, Kia Sorento. Maybe others, we didn't consider. Used and New rigs are in very short supply down here. Its a sellers market.

Sure seems like you are right Dan. I did a quick search for new F-350's in Anchorage and found a total of 4.
