Dont ever look at a 27 inch monitor.......

I use my MacBookPro from 07-08 for a minimum of 4 hours a day for both school and the net (ie porn), around 2000 pictures. Never a problem.

If something ever comes up where you do need windows (you wont) you can also run windows on your Mac, so you are covered.

I even set up my wireless.....somehow.

Momma said I could have whatever I wanted this morning,as I was debating which Mac direction to go...but I was concerned with the 27's bulk/size.

Mebbe I fucked up?............

I have seen both and there is only one in my mind. To be honest I didn't really "see" the 21.5 it was just there. When the time comes I will make the room, and I will never say maybe I should have gone bigger.

I dont know how much space you have but how hard could it be to shoe horn it in somewhere, and doing it right the first time saves money.

I figure the upgrade to where I'm headed now,is about 4 million lightyears ahead of my current state and didn't want to go all hen shit without some semblance of reason.

But I'm amongst the last to go agog over Hubble-esque shit anyhow............

Oodles of RAM is never a mistake, & IMO, you just can't have too much, especially when dealing with imagery.

On software, keep in mind than PC software you may have will not run on a Mac.............

For monitors/tv bigger is always better. I never regret the money spent on my 60 inch plasma, or say this would look better on my 42 inch screen....

Just remember that you need a copy of the Windows OS installed on the Mac and if you want to run both OSs at the same time you'll need additional software - something like VMWare or Parallels and a copy of the Windows OS. Neither is a big deal.

Just do the boot camp thing, if it comes up which it probably wont. I have the VMWare and I have been told boot camp is free and it does the same thing you just have to start it in Windows or mac.

With VM you can have both up at the same time. I think I paid $20-30 for VM when I could have just did the boot camp thing for free. So I've been told....

When you go into VM everything is the exact same as windows. All the tech geeks get weirded out when they see windows on a Mac for the first time.
