Its a film dip that alpine archery did for me. I dipped the stock and a complete AR for the shot show display.

For bottom metal i think it depends on what you are doing. For competitions, i could care less how much the mag protrudes out. I need a good mag system.

For hunting, ADL is still and most likely will always be my favorite. I run a dang near flush WSM mag kit on my 7wsm because i like the extra length, but if not it would be ADL for a killing rig. Its never not worked.

Amen Brother!

Lumped both configurations through the woods chasing critters with a proven preference towards ADL. Contemplating the detachable mag box as an option on a new stick. Only potential drawback would be the mag box freezing to some synthetic outerwear. Had the forward ADL action screw sticking to me last season during a snow storm....

I tend to carry my rifle right where the mags sit, for that I like running the HS DBM just because it's almost a flush fit.

Im running HS on Mcmillan Rem Varmint 223AI and im happy with the tight noise less flush fitting. You might have to wait a while to find one,and do yourself a favor order a couple of extra mags.
