If any of you are prone to fly along with someone else in a loose or tight formation. Remember, one person flies, eyes front, while paying strict attention to a steady heading and altitude, the other has to "form" to the other with eyes glued to lead, maintaining a safe distance. To do otherwise is an invitation to disaster.

The '51's are just sexy in pixels and in the flesh. Friend of the family was a 747 pilot and retired a number of years ago. In his younger days, he had the good fortune to take one up and regaled us with having to go easy on the throttle for t/o to avoid the Merlin from torquing him over before getting off the runway. They do thunder....

They're great,because I can hear them an ohhhh whatta sound. Enjoyed his recounting D-Day while circling the beaches in a Mustang and watching the show,with the '51 rumblin'..............
