I've helped Lew push his boat off the beach before, when the Injun rig failed. So far in the years of using the rubber band with a decent sized Bruce anchor, I haven't had that problem.

I think they both have their good/bad points and it comes down to what you get used to.

I view the slingshot and the Injun as temporary means,to be making an immediate move. The Injun is faster,affords more latitude and easy to whirl solo...............
