Not the biggest ram ever taken but a far fuckin cry bigger than my last one.

A tad over 37" on the curl, 13" bases and 8 years old. Saw over 30 rams but he was the only no-shit legal ram I saw in 15 days worth of hunting. Took 2 days to get into position for a killing shot at less than 100 yards.

This shot was taken about 600 yards away the day before I took him.

I told Chris I'd get back into sheep hunting shape next year. I guess I better get started....

I screwed around all summer until it was too late to get in sheep shape. Took me about 2-3 days to get use to climbing the mountains again where I wasn't out of breath all the time.

Won't happen again, got a Wrangells hunt planned next year and i'll get started with the training as soon as breakup is over.

Nice work man. It sounded like you earned that one, but I think every sheep hunter is jealous of your "base camp"!

No kidding!! Only problem with that though is if you don't draw a tag for that area. The Taj isn't transportable........lol
