Good job. I passed on a little 8 point yesterday morning and stroked a doe last night. The wind only blew 30mph this morning in Humphries county. Missed a coyote at 177 yards with the mz this morning. The chunk of dirt that blew up in his face got his attention though. SOB was digging a hole in a wheat field when I shot at him.

The warm temps suck.

I shot a doe with the bow yesterday morning, had to skin her out quick and toss some ice packs in the chest cavity to cool her down quick. Temp got down to mid 30's last night so she was real nice this morning and now resides in my freezer.

Good luck in AK.

When are you getting to AK? (US time will be fine, us Kiwis can convert - I'll just ask my son...)

Leaving tomorrow (Tuesday) and should hit the rock around 6:00 pm.......Blake

On the buck, nothing special. I was doing the olympic sit thing on a powerline and around 7:00 am he stuck his head out. I have been sick most of hunting season so I wanted something dead, he made the wrong choice and stepped out at 60 yards. 250 grain Barnes Expander through the front shoulder and exited a little farther back than I would have thought. He went 30 yards and piled up. Gutted him, went and got the tractor put him in the bucket and had him sewed up by 10:00 am.......Blake

He was a 9 point and dressed around 150-160 I'd say, nothing to write home about.

A guy should have an extra ramrod with him anyways, at least in his pocket or something laugh
