Thanks Guys for the input but now let me change directions a little. Wade had the type of answer that I was looking for so I will ask it this way if you was looking at a good set of glass in the $500.00 to $800.00 range what would be your choice. Now keep in mind that I am not a tight ass SOB but I need the best quality for the least coins.
Oh and one other thing which is better the roof prism or the poro prism?

There's a used set of 10x42 Trinovids on Campfire right now. If you were 3 days quicker there was a set of 8x32's as well that were just over $500.
If your budget is truly $500-$800 and you are dead set on Leica you'll either have to buy a set of their pocket binocs or wait for something used at which point what really matters is how long are you willing to wait?

Not dead set on any thing and yes I saw the 8X32's and missed them by a few hours. Looking at the 10X42's also but not sure as to what I am wanting as of yet. Since we are talking 8X and 10X which do most of you guys prefer? I am not beyond a set of compacts if the quality is good. I am just feeling the water right now unless a real bargain jumps up. I am going to buy some better glass just not sure as to what. I want the best I can get for the least coins.

If 32mm, get an 8x. If 42mm, go 10x. Be patient, have the cash on hand so you can jump without hesitation, and you'll be amazed at what $800.00 can buy.
That Meopta 10x42 Meostar on the 'fire for $425.00 shipped is a great deal!
