Who has one and what do you think of it?
Seems like a lot of tent for the weight, but I've yet to see one in person.
Also, how many pegs/guylines does it take to set one up?

I don't own one, but have spent a week or two in them all told.
If your going to need a tent that stout, it is a lot of tent for the weight. If you don't, it really isn't that light for the space offered. I've seen a night of ~60 mph winds in one, and we had no idea till we got out of the tent it was that bad, I was left very impressed.
The body is nice sized by backpacking standards, but the vestibule is huge. Great for dealing with lots of gear in bad weather.
If I recall, you can get it standing up with as few as four pegs, and can use 16-20, maybe more, in hurricane mode.
One thing to note that didn't come to mind immediately is it takes quite a long spot to set up with the tunnel design, large vestibule, and guy line configuration.
If I was choosing a proper 2 person 4-season mountaineering tent, it would come down to this one and the Hilleberg Allak. Runners up probably being the regular Nallo 2 and the Big Agnes String Ridge.

I've spent about 20 days in a Nallo 2, ate a couple meals in a 2GT, and spent 9 days this year in a 3GT. You want the GT vestibule. Take it from the guy that packed the tent - it's worth the weight. The 2 is not huge inside, but the vestibule will hold 2 full packs, boots, stoves, rifles, wet gear, and everything else. The 3GT is like small hotel. I think the only thing that would sink one would be lots of wet snow while unattended and no wind to knock it off.

Thanks for the feed back guys. Last tent I bought was a Walrus "Skyline", back in 91'ish...grin, and although it's seen well into the 3 digits nights of shit sans a hick-up, I'm thinkin' it's time for an upgrade.
Closest place I know of(from southern B.C.) that has Hille's in stock, is High Mountain Outfitters in Eagle, Idaho. Anyone know of other dealers in Northern MT, ID, WA or possibly B.C./AB?

Looking closer at the Nallo 3 GT and it's only 7 ounces more, for a lot more space.......grin
Chris, what is the real world weight of your 3 GT, as you would pack it on a sheep hunt?
How realistic is it to skip the inner tent and go with a foot print for fair weather outings, not extended trips/hunts.

Sadly, I've never owned any of them... borrowed one, cooked/ate in one, and my sheep hunting partner bought the third.
I don't even know what it weighed, I just offered to carry the 3GT after my first hilleberg experience. I can't see skipping the inner tent - I think they just toggle together, so it really shouldn't be a big deal to do. On the other hand, the thing is really pretty light, and for bags and tents, I don't mind packing a little weight if it adds insurance.
Barney's in Anchorage would be the first place I'd call if I were in your shoes. A few folks there actually use the shit they sell.
Oh, and my sheep hunting partner got his off ebay, which might be worth a look.
