Was cleaning up some of my reloading stuff and started throwing away plastic .22LR containers and was laughing at some of the cheap prices on the containers from even as short as ten years ago. Noticed I had mostly CCI stuff.
What brand do you guys prefer?Any shit out there that's a sleeper for the price?

Usually CCI, as the other shit is hard to find around here. When the kids are banging away, I buy the cheapest shit I can find.
550 round boxes don't last long with them around...

Federal Lightning that's $1.37/50 at Walmart shoots as good as Wolf MT and better than FGMM through my 77/22.
I can live with 3-4 flyers per box at that price.

In reflection of the years and tons of LR brass I've left laying in a wake of destruction,I'd say I default to Blazers...more often than not...............

For plinking I've not found anything better than Blazers. They are cheap and shoot better than they have any right to. I have been getting way too many of the Remington Golden Bullets that won't go off, so I steer clear of them, even if they're cheap.
For target stuff, I got great accuracy from Remington Eley (the cheap yellow box version) and CCI SGB (I'm not sure if it's made anymore) and the regular Gold Medal Match (not the Ultra Match). I've shot more expensive stuff, but for the money, these really seemed to shine.

I'll add...
Green Tags never impressed me much. They weren't the worst, when it came to accuracy, but for their price tag I found several less expensive offerings that shot better.

I have an old Kimber of Oregon barrel on one of my 10/22's. I've shot 1" groups at 100yds with the GM Match ammo. At the time they cost $5.99 for a box of 50 (Ultra Match was $10.99).
With an 18x scope & the right light, I could watch the last few yards of the bullet's flight, and watch 'em drop into the group. It was pretty cool.

I buy a lot of the federal 550 packs for prairie dogs and have had really good luck with the Federal Auto match in my MKII.
Still have a brick or two of PMC Scoremaster that smells like cat piss when you fire it.Real accurate in bolts, but sprays hot powder etc. when fired from an auto.
