I made your grandma's "newer pickled salmon" recipe last fall. Turned out pretty awesome. I added some orange slices for color and some garlic cloves and sliced jalapenos to some of the jars to switch it up a little.

Ran across a pickled kelp recipie in an old Alaska Fish & Game mag I found. Gonna give it a try next year.

Pickled Salmon is just wrong..

A well done batch of pickled salmon is tough to trump.....

I've yet to taste that batch.. Like I said, pickeled fish is just wrong...

While nothing but nothing beats a good canned smoked salmon that is just dripping with oil, nothing wrong with pickled fish on occasion. I've pickled salmon and rainbows, good eating.

Perhaps it's the influence of my wife's Russian heritage, but pickled herring and vodka should not be missed. Almost always results in a pickled fisherman
