Who takes it and where?

I think Condit will prevail. He's got more power in the standup and is as good or better on the ground.

Should be a good scrap.

I would Like to see Condit take the fight, but Diaz is a tough son of a bitch. Heart says Condit, brain says Diaz. Should be an evenly match fight.

No shit....

Happy with Hermans turn around there, and it illustrated the need to be well rounded as a fighter..... You might be able to beat the piss out of a guy standing, but if you don't knock him out he might put you to sleep in real short order on the ground.

Not sure Condit can take on St-Pierre however ... but he gets a shot now. Should be a goodie....

Bout time the welterweight division gets a good shakeup.....I dint think that shithead Diaz would get beat until he got GSP.

GSP is coming off knee surgery, maybe its time for him to get dinged again?

A.Silva and Sonnen are now confirmed to do another go round. THAT will be a big fucking deal.

Silva got his ass kicked all over the place last time. I hated Silva, until I saw the Champion heart he had at he end to pull out the submission. Best comeback I have ever seen. I think Silva had broken ribs goin in, and I am sure if the fight goes down in Brazil, he will be ready to make an example out of Chael.

As an aside, my old practice pardner pinned Chael in high school....

When we talk Bones, he is so young and fresh, he will be top dog for awhile. Rashad gonna get clowned.

I can see Bones having an off night like many champs have (Liddel, GSP,Penn, Couture)......only to get back on track.

The sport don't really offer much margin fer error. Very few, and none that I can think of come away undefeated.

I really like Big Country. His size really fucks with him. Too small to be a real Heavy, to slow to be a Light Heavy.

He is an excellent grappler, seen lots of his old grappling vids when he was 225#. He moved like a large mountain cat.

He has gained so much weight, he looks like he sweats cholesterol, spits melted butter and bleeds gravy.

Silva in Brazil will bring an intensity and focus he rarely has. His last fight showed his skill and how scary he can be when he decides to git serious.

I feel bad for Chael, if that Silva shows up.

Chael's history shows he ALWAYS chokes one way or another, when he goes for a championship. He is seeing a shrink tryin' to figger it out.

Spider getting old.........that will be the only thing to stop him. Tough to dodge age. While he is sharp, he can't be touched.

In Chael's favor, he did expose the only way to fight that fucker.....old fashioned American ground and pound. It is the only chance anyone has. Standing up with that guy wont cut it.

Implementing the theory is another story.

Chael woulda won, had he sandbagged the last round. He stuck to his gameplan to the end, and it failed.

I still find it so impressive how Silva pulled that sub, when both of them were so sweaty. Dry bodies have so much better traction.

Frazier's loss to Ali by Futch tossing the towel at the start of the 15th,never hurt his resume. Joe motherfucked Ali to his grave and rightfully so,IMHO.

Enjoyed the HBO Documentary on the two...and I lost much respect for Ali as a result...............

A close loss when you are supposed to be "out of your league" is not necessarily a bad thing.

I was never much into boxing.....generational gap or something. I would venture to guess that it won't be a big deal at all by the time I retire.

Boxing was THE shit, when it was ALL there was.(grin)

Times change and Boxing assuredly isn't what it once was, though I do not lament having been privvy to what panned out to be EPIC bouts.

As a kid, I vividly remember Tyson fights. Bunches of cars at the houses that had HBO.

Names like Macho Camacho, Sugar Ray, de la Hoya, and Riddick Bowe....just don't remember seeing a bunch of it.

Tyson was on the downhill when I was in high school. Never paid much attention since.

At the same time, UFC future journeymen like Jens Pulver, and Dennis Hallman were in my area.....watching them chainsaw kids on the mat helped get me into watching them as they went to MMA.

Hindsight being what it is, I wish I would have went straight from HS to an MMA gym.....I would love to say I have gave it a go in a cage. I have a hard time watching amateur fights now without thinking "what if...."

I heard many a story about gramps sitting next to the radio, cussing the shit out of Ali. Gramps hated a peacock.

Hard to fathom what my kids will be saying about today's fighters. MMA seems to have styles that are continuously evolving.

Howard Cosell announced ALL Fights of merit and could make/break a Fighter. He and Ali often sparred, which of course garnered huge draws.

Of all the combat sports, the BJJ guys seem to love that shit the most.

The whole testing thing is going to be cat and mouse forever. Lets just have a natural class, and an unlimited class of every sport, including the Olympics, where you can use anything you want.

Usain Bolt juiced up, clembuterol in his lungs, and coked out of his gourd.....

Only imagine the change that would make to every sport.....less ice curling.

Not that I endorse weed, but fuck me, it don't exactly stack odds in your favor, especially in a sport like MMA.

Now, if staring contests became a sport they'd have grounds for an unfair advantage.......grin
