Through a trade with Chris I ended up with Dan's 91 tundra. I haven't ridden a sled in ~25 years. Inspite of the 270cc one lunger, the snow was seldom smooth enough to run it WOT and I only got it minorly stuck twice. With the ski stance narrower than modern sleds it tends to wobble when following somebody elses track. I also managed to stay out of any signifigant overflow and hence above water. Too bad I got out so late as only ran about 5 miles up river then back down.

Can't way to get my 96 skandic back together.

I know there's pics that I can't see (at work), but glad it is running for you paul.

Narrow ski stance is good for everything I want a sled for... was this ER? If so, Dan and I probably made the overflow worse for you... grin.

Yes, eagle river.

The narrow stance is good for everything except following somebody elses wide stance and wobbling back and forth between tehir ski tracks. Not really an issue and I wished I'd gotten out earlier in the day for a longer ride.

The narrow stance is great for snaking between the trees in my front yard and it just barely makes it between the house and shed. There are a few scuff marks from the front bumper wink

I need to get a windshield. When you get in the deeper snow it comes over the hood and right into your eyes. I forgot the visor on my helmut was sufficiently dirty and scuffed up that visibility in the flat afternoon light was less than optimal. I went for goggles on the return run.

Good to see you made it out, Paul, and I'm glad you're happy with the sled. It's custom. grin

I'm pretty sure I have a windshield for it, but I don't remember if it's here or at Chris's house. I know there's one around here somewhere, though.

That is a sexy ride.... needs ape hangers though.

I think I've got the windshields Dan, but I thought I promised them to Bill the other day.
