Spoke with a buddy this past weekend and he informed me that one of the local clubs is holding USPSA style matches but for 22s only. Now how much fun can that be...

Dug around in my stash and came up with an old Aimpoint Comp with a 8moa dot. Pretty slick little rig.....

Gonna run a couple mags through her this weekend then off to the races...

Ahhhhh, I wish you were closer, I'd be all about that. I've been shooting the crap out of my Kadet lately.

Your pistol looks sick! Have any top-down pics of the comp area? I'm curious to see hole spacing, and hear whether you think a comp on a 22 makes a difference.

I'd got some ideas for putting a comp on my Kadet (I actually want a threaded barrel for a can, but in the meantime...), but my biggest hurdle is trying to find a decent way to make some extended/hi-cap mags. I want a 22 pistol that can get 20 rounds off before a mag change. THAT strikes me as being a really good time.

I suck at the picture thing, but I thought this was a funny picture I took from last weekend. Tagged a muskrat with my Kadet kit at about 30-ish yds on the run. First thing I'd shot with it, and I was happy to make it.

A couple more views.

I don't think a comp is really needed. However, the extra 6oz added to the end of the barrel really helps with tracking from target to target.

I shot it a little yesterday and it basically just sits there on the shot. Should be very fast on the plates.

Nice going on the muskrat. Not much finer than smacking vermin with a 22.

In the first pic,I'd assumed it to be without ports and solely a muzzle weight.

How good will the parcel do at say 25yds? 1"?!!?.................

With Eley 10X or Federal GMM 1080 it'll do right around .5 at 50yds.

I'd have sent it back if it wouldn't do sub 1" at 50. I don't know if you're familiar with the Marvel units or not but what set's them apart from the other 1911 conversions is that they have a fixed barrel with the sight rail ridgidly attached. The Kimber, Ceiner, Day, Kart and the Colt units all use a pivoting barrel which just can't run with the Marvel accuracy wise.

Is a comp needed....no, but it adds to the kewl factor...

I've no 1911's in the current stable, though a killer 22LR build appeals more than anything centerfire.

I'd sidestep all the shit and go right back to the S&W 41 with the long tube....................

LOP issue? I'd not think it to be creep, break or overtravel.

41's sing in them mechanical regards and grips change shapes easily..................
