Seems like it has been ages since I was able to log in to the site, hoping all is well with everyone. Thought I would get us kicked back off on the right foot with some new gun purchases.

It really is awesome having the top notch crew of Southern Precision an hour from the house, Greg and the boys knocked out this 223AI for me, so now the boy and I have matching ones.

Saw all the posts about the high zoot 22lr's and it got me motivated, not for a Voodoo but I will have one soon, but a budget minded Bergara that thinks it is a Voodoo the way it shoots, this thing is a hoot

Lastly I really got tied up in shotgun shooting lately some sporting clays but mostly Helice or ZZ or whatever you call the damn things, just think trolling motor prop that flys out of 1 of 5 boxes in any direction.

So for that I picked up my dream scattergun, a Krieghoff K80. I went with the standard receiver but had the wood upgraded and I love this damn thing

Now no house would be complete if you dont have a 70's vintage Browning Superposed. Found this Broadway Browning for pennies and I had Briley add some screw in chokes. Have always wanted a Superposed and this one definitely does not disappoint.

Pictures of the wood dont do it justice so here are a couple more

Hoping we can get some folks back after the hiatus, so spread the word.

Oh almost forgot picked up a bull tag for NM unit 46 first rifle this October, and am looking at another SE bear hunt for spring 2025. So lets hear it what's everyone been up too?

That Krieghoff is stellar….

Finally got my ass in gear and got my 6br under way. Having Mark Penrod put this one together. Not that I have time for shooting as we’ve been on 6-10s for quite a while….

As a team we go back and forth between Skeet and 5-stand every year to 2. Full-on beer-league bunch, not anything approaching serious other than you'll get some serious ribbing from the team. We're shooting skeet this year and I'm back and forth between a Beretta 391 Sporting 20ga and a heavier Beretta 391 Teknys Sporting 20ga, both 30" bbls.

I'm intending on having a suppressed/Thermal topped rifle up and running by Thanksgiving or so which is when we're allowed to start hunting coyotes after sundown. I put a 16" pencil Faxon into a PSA upper/lower with a Trigger-Tech 3.5# fixed single-stage. I also bought a Q Sugar Weasel. Right now both have 2.5-10x42 NXS w/MOAR reticles on them. I've also got a "Montana" in the works. I've got a Q Jumbo Shrimp and a Thunder Beast Ultra 5 Gen 2 in jail for them.

My old SS Classic M70 300Win is @ the plumber to have a new Lilja finished @ 24" and still be a 300Win.

There's a pair of Kimbers @ the plumber as well. An 84LPT being turned into a 1:7 223Rem "Montana", finished @ 18" and threaded as a "night" hunting bolt action alternative. And a 243Win having the bbl yanked and a factory dupe Lilja being chambered in 1:7 22 Creed.

I'm back and forth on a thermal between an AGM Varmint 50 640 or a Pulsar Thermion LRF XG50. A buddy has the AGM Varmint and it's great on something w/no stock drop like an AR or chassis but not worth a damn on say a Kimber Montana. I'm leaning Thermion unless someone gives me a good reason not to.

Couple of MT elk tags, MT deer tag, bird hunting @ home should keep me busy this fall. I'm about 45Min from hitting the door and headed for the lake for a weekend of fishing.

I've been on a different path the last year or so and have picked up several centerfire rifles and pistols...which is the exact opposite of the last 15 years of rimfire exclusivity.

I'm having a lot of fun with new comp rifles and pistols...but they are cutting into my rimfire match schedule.

Love the 223AI. Some dandy scatter guns, and some fine groceries too!

Have fondled a Krieghoff and a number of CG's but a sweet Rizzini 20-bore o/u has accounted for a plethora of alpine grouse over the years.

Good to see you gentlemen getting after it!

I went through several before I settled on the K80. Shot a Browning 725 which I really liked, had a CG Summit Ascent and a Magnus shot both of them very well that damn K80 just called to me. I blame my buddy John Willoughby (Pullit) he had a beautiful San Remo that had always stuck in the back of my head as a gun I will have one of these days.

Good to see you back Blake! Nice shotguns (and rifles).

Apologies for taking forever to get the site back online. Still not 100%, but we're limping along. Been busier than a cucumber in a women's prison. Will try to get a pic or two one of these days.

After some added fixtures, she looks like you'll be able to do 50 in short order....

Looking forward to finished products!

Thanks guys. I’ll definitely post pictures as they progress. For now I’m working on finishing a bunch of blanks from before my last grinder puked.

I went to V.C. last year. One of the most fascinating places I've ever been. I saw two giants on the caldera rim, midday, in August. They're there.
Valle Vidal is next.
Try to snap a pic once in a while!
