1 in 7 223 AI ideas

I'm wanting to put together a 223 AI (maybe vanilla) with a 1 in 7 twist tube for 88 eld launching.

What's the easy button if you don't have a 700 doner sitting around?

I'm thinking rem sporter or lighter contour and most likely aics fed.

Suggestions welcome....

They’re a lot for not much more than a 700 donor action these days. The trouble is getting one. I’ve been so close to snagging one a number of times but just missed them.

I’m not a huge Tikka fan but they get a lot of praise from the folks I know who have them.

I've got some tikka 223s I don't mind, but a long action 223 sucks no matter how you slice it.

Nothing is handier, for sure.
Remind me how you keep getting my Montanas again??

Probably the easiest thing to do is rebarrel my 1 in 8 223ai but I hate to tear apart a good shooting rifle. 75s are still nothing to sneeze at and might be the sweet spot for the 223 case.

A tinkerer has to tinker though
