I know there's been a lot of threads concerning various DBMs and such, but bear with me. I've got a 700 in a McMillan Sako Hunter ADL. It's a peach and I love it, but I'd love it more with some extra OAL available. I'm thinking that what I'm after, a 2.910 kiss with 162s, is Alpha WSM mags and Seekins bottom metal. Any flies on this idea?

Your proposal, will easily get you where you wish to be.

As a default means,I'd prefer a coupla 3rd AccurateMags and perhaps (1) 7rd herd clip for rainy days.(grin)

Accurate RINK

I find a mag latch betwixt trigger bow and mag bottom, more positive and less likely to get tripped unknowingly...though I shorten releases and have seen me re-spring 'em to boot.

After I make another pot of coffee,I'll grab a coupla pics for conversation................

I've seen a pic of your 6.5, but couldn't remember how you fed it. Might consider a 6.5 when I rebarrel, but want to get all the good out of this tube first.

The mag latch is my concern. I've not fondled a Seekins DBM, but what I have in hand seems well thought out and has been near perfectly executed. Can't know if the push button or mag latch lever is preferable for retaining the mags, but can see that push button is cleaner and less obtrusive and would be my preference if it is as secure.

The 3rd mags look like they'd be perfect for most things, though a herd clip could fill a couple of roles too. Appreciate the info.

Pics after the fact.

As an aside, the shortened levers are NOT ever gonna trip on "accident"................(grin)

My trepidation goes back many moons,as I've lost alotta mags, with buttons in that locale.

The vertical release, also aids in timing tightitude in how a mag mates to the receiver...................
