Been a while since I was online, have a 700 SA, a 700 LA, and several bartlein 2b tubes that I need to decide on.
Thinking of sending to Chad for his group buy.
Have 6mm 8 tw, 6.5mm 8 tw, and 7mm 9 tw.

Thinking of a 6-06 or a 6.5-06 on the LA. Or a 6.5-284 or 280AI?

SA build leaning toward a 7-08 just because I hear good things...

Thoughts?

Then again, I have 243AI and 7-08 Montuckies in the house already...

No LA Montucky though.

What's the largest contour barrel you can fit in a Montucky stock?

Got a LA Mickey KS Edge stock too.

Also have two Brux #2 contours tucked away. 6mm and 6.5mm both 8 twist.

Thinking of sending mini-me's LH 700 in with the 6mm spout, to chamber in plain vanilla 243 Win.

I'd not wanna exceed the OEM Montucky contour,or it's length. Fact is,I'd be happy to be shy of both and a 22" 6-06 wouldn't aspook me.

A 1-8" SAAMI 243Win will reliably blow minds and throating one to 105 Happiness,in a 2.815" OEM box,is a breeze. Hell...lotsa them come that way.(grin)

Main thing is to just simply shoot and then do it some more.................

6.5-06 or .280 (AI either as you wish) in the KS Edge. Been a while since I've built anything long action but having the stock already in hand would push me that way.....
