So I got my new riggin put together. Going to run it for 3 gun this summer and is the second ar I've put together. Learned that the interweb trigger job that "has never missed a pop" in 'Merica apparently doesn't work in the canuckistan winter climate. No way would it pop ball ammo.
So here is the rundown
Benchmark 1-9 twist in spr contour at 18" chambered in 223 sammi
Aero precision lower
Spikes upper
Samson Evolution 15" rail
Geissele low prow gas block, rifle length gas
AAC flash hider

Shows promise with 335 and Berger 62 fb, also looked good with 52amax

I don't want to run 75s. This gun was built to run the cases of cheap 55 and 62g ball kicking around. But maybe a guy could dangle some 75s over lever as a science experiment....

A cartridge can be no better than it's bullet and a rifle no better than it's ammo.

Just don't shoot any 75's,before you whistle through all the shit................(grin)

The best ammo is never a concession,in any application and them is purty good "odds".

Add to the fact that the mettle is there to bolster terminal effects and the crossovers is numerous and a breeze. I never was one to have 17 different loads, slated to 17 different applications and long ago had great appreciation for a good boolit doing great things, ala POA/POI sanctity.

Whattya' gonna' do for an Aimer...'dot or 'scope? Both?..............

This one wears a vortex strike eagle 1-6 as there is no fixed fucker illuminati availability here, the state of the Canadian peso and my current lack of gainful employment. Seems to be ok in the preliminary trials and the reticle looks like it should be skookum for its intended purpose but onLy time will tell.

I noticed that a lot of guys are running long free float tubes, is there an advantage to doing that? I personally like a tube that runs up to my adjustable gas block.

I'm running rifle length gas so it's only a couple inches passed the gas block. I just thought it looked good that was my reason, I think some guys do it so they can go full "Costa" grip.

I'd not want a tube that covered up the adjustments,on an adjustable block.(grin)

Middy or longer for me,no matter the barrel length................

Full length tubes offer more purchaseable realestate and they look cool. That's all the convincing I ever needed.

It can make getting a rest easier and that interests me,far more than as a landing strip,to affix more shit to............

Nice thing is that they are Lego's and one can change his mind and have instant gratification with Plan B..............

I've gotta yank my barrel. The extension is out of spec and causing hard engagement/disengagement. Shitty part is new extension doesn't index so I'll have to cut the chamber some as well.
