I call it Mormon Thunder
Trued Rem 700 LA with PTG bolt
4.5 contour 8 twist at 26"
Trigger tech trigger is on route
XLR Evolution Chassis
MDT skeleton stock
10x fixed fucker
Feeds flawlessly from a 338 aics mag
Throated for the new 195 Berger

We were playing with those 195s in a montucky 708 rar 708 and montucky Wizzum and they deffinately deserved a properly throated rig to push em to the most a Wizzum can push. I'll be very interested to see how this thing plays out.

Yeah that 195 is gonna change the game for the uber long range guys I think.

Lighter, shorter, less expensive (in some cases...grin) than the 338's with practically the same BC and less recoil.

Clean sweep IMO.

Legit looking rig. Would likely shoot the wheels off a Montucky.

They both shoot pretty well ;)

Montucky

As a BTW, not that it means much, but the 195 definitely gives a more authoritative "WOP" on AR500 at distance than the 162...

Had a herd of rifles in tow today...and in the Hurricane,162's and a smooch is soothinger than fuck.

Even from a "lowly" 7-08AI at 2850fps............

What is your COAL in your chassis rifle?
Your Montucky is impressive!
Is the barrel OEM or after market?
If after market, what brand and twist?
I need to rebarrel a doner is why I ask..
Thanks

COAL on the 195 is 3.200".

The Montucky barrel is OEM and 9.5" twist. It's also an early serial number rifle. We all know those don't shoot or feed...

Pretty sure Stick has had a Montucky or two re-barreled, he may have some insight.
