So, laying here after the doc just re attached my bicep/tendon to arm bone, and will be for a while, anyway, I have a 700bdl left hand short action sitting here and think I would like a 7-08. The only boundaries are, light as possible and short. Thoughts? Input? Entertain me....thanks

Easy peasy, mountain contour in a naked McMillan edge. Probably about 6#8oz w/ LW's and 6x42.

Fucking arm sounds painful....

Reckon its a matter of whatcha wanna monkey with. I've an itch for a 22" magnum contour 1:8 260 in a Classic with a 6X FF.

And a 243 Montucky

But I get lots of itches and try not to scratch them.

Don't be in a hurry,to make bad decisions.

The S/S Montucky has it going on and has a killer stock to boot. It literally DEFINES "light as possible and short"...bob the barrel where you please. Rumor through the grapevine,is that my 18.5" 1-8" 6x45 has been eyefucked and is even better than anticipated.

Now if talking a mid to heavy-ish Play Toy,the 700 gains ground. It'll cost quite a bit more to square it away with a McMillan, spout and DBM for extry COAL,but there's applications where that shit can be fun.

Having all of that stuff in hand...pass the Montucky 6BR................(grin)

Ya, I'm with you, I'm not sure it's even worth messing with at times. It's a factory .243, so I might just through a handle on it and call it good........

You are there with a 105 smooch and magbox nestle. Simply add DD's (Rev front),6X MQ,Lapooey false shoulders,'17 and it's a wrap.

Nuttin' to it................
