If you had a Model 70 300WSM with a Laminate stock laying around. I have had it about 5 years and put about 80-100 shots through it. The thing looks brand new and I still have the box and everything else that came with it. I have never really warmed up to it for some reason. I'm thinking of either selling it to fund a Kimber or putting a different barrel, new stock and getting it Cerakoted. I have thought about making a 350Rem Mag out of it but I don't know if its more trouble than what its worth.

Taking a 300WSM and going 350 on it,is like marrying a hot chick and trying to make her UNhot.

What's the role of the rifle?.............

Whitetails around Tn. It's a heavy SOB too. I wanted a 300WSM when they came out. Actually wanted a Browning since it was just them and Winchester that had the chambering at the time. Found the Wichester first so I jumped on it. It has always done me right...I just cannot get to like it.

There are more rifles/chamberings suited to that role, than there is not.

Think Ti or Montana, for light done right.

Either/both,will get you to 700+ yds..................

I like Model 70s, which puts me in a minority around here, but I can live with it. That said, if you don't like yours you don't like it and a caliber change probably won't help much for your needs.
