How rugged are they?

Eyes aren't quite what they used to be, thinking of getting a couple for my Ruger's that I carry all the time. Not interested if I'll have to baby them.

Had planned to buy the adapter that takes the place of the rear sight vs the rail.

I'm all ears. I'll be the first to admit I don't know shit about them.

I just like the simple on/off switch better than the push-button multi brightness one on the 3. The cover for the 2 is not so bulky and obnoxious to remove to stick in your t-shirt pocket. battery changes are easier on the 3, but they last a long time and it don't bother me to remove the sight to change them on the 2.

Have you had any issues with them holding zero?

no, they're good in that regard.

Lotsa them here and they'e no issues.

Tough to whoop...for ANY amount of loot................
