Not as much as you would think based on live weight but enough to get full !
We had 9 crabs
Four of us eat all we could.
We picked the rest this morning and put them in the freezer.
I can damn near smell and taste that picture...

Oh man I’ve had the run in with sharks lately.

saw a big ass 11foot mako 2 days ago. And a smaller 7footer.

hauled in a 9ft bronzie yesterday. Lose ur stoke for late evening surf mish all by ur lonesome. Figures too that there’s been a pile of stingrays in close where we kick out.

hooked a couple big kingies yesterday but couldn’t keep ‘em either out of the bush or away from the sharks.

sabiki rigs are money for getting bait. Been just lightly searing those Kahawai after a night of marinade. Dee Lucius!!

Hand lined a couple skippies. Bloody things but I don’t mind a couple massive feeds of poke bowls with the groms.

oh yeah pics.

this has to be the most random thing. A seagull dropped this on my board as I was walking home

Been saving all my bits and pieces for a big high tide bash with the fam. We hooked a lot of fish. Just could not manage to hook a kingy but it was a blast.

Just got back from a week in some pretty awesome country. Been putting off a good and proper Sika hunt for years. The numbers on public aren’t massive, and heads tend to be pretty small in country I’d prefer to hunt.

Plenty of good story here but I ended up recovering that stag in a very gnarly area the morning after I shot it at 460 yards. Did a pile of vertical feet and saw very few animals. Most good Sikas come off of private land blocks. These things are addictive to hunt. Disappear like a whitetail but live in goat country.

this trips about done. Hitting the trail tomorrow. Absolutely gutted that DOC is going to 1080 poison my favorite hunting spot. Passed a couple decent 9pt and 10pt stags this last week. And a real nice 9” chamois buck so they can live another year and potentially become trophies. and the cock suckers are going to poison them. Makes my blood boil.
All in all it’s Been a fun trip. 90 days goes fast
